STATE ACADEMY FOR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OCTOBER 2024
Message from the Chair
Hello Fall!! It’s a beautiful time of year in the New York! It’s time for changing leaves, football games, and visits to the apple farm for a delicious New York State grown apple, some warm apple cider, and maybe sneak a cider donut or two. I don’t know about you but one of the things I love most about this time of year is getting out on a crisp fall day and hike one of New York State Parks’ Nature Trails and take in the beauty and majesty of fall in the New York. Whatever and wherever your plans take you, I hope you all have a safe and wonderful fall season!

It’s been a busy last few weeks of summer for the State Academy. So, I thought I’d give you a few highlights.

Thank You for Your Support
Over the past 50 years, State Academy members have made the State Academy a recognized leader for harnessing the skills and talents of senior government professionals to support excellence in public service in New York State. We are all keepers of that legacy and today it is important for all of us to renew our commitment to, and actively participate in, the pursuit and advancement of the goals, objectives, programs, and services of the State Academy.
For those of you who have paid your dues, thank you. It is through your generosity and support that the State Academy can offer its programs and recognize outstanding contributions to public service through our annual awards ceremony. For those of you who have yet to bring your dues account current, I hope that you will take a moment to submit your dues payment as soon as convenient. It is only through the support of our members that we are able to sustain the organization. By renewing your membership, you demonstrate your commitment to preserving the legacy of our founders and ensuring that the State Academy continues to shape public service excellence for the next 50 years. If you are unsure of your dues status, please let us know by emailing sapa@nysapa.org and we’ll look up your record and let you know.
If you have any thoughts about how we can strengthen and enhance SAPA programs and services to meet your professional and personal development needs, please send them to me at dcunningham@nysapa.org. I am so very grateful to each of you for your continued membership and commitment to the Academy’s work. Working together, we can do great things and ensure a brighter future for the current and next generation of public service professionals.
Until next time, have a wonderful Fall season!
